Welcome to The Cedar School
We are proud of the learning community we have fostered at the school as we believe we put our young people at the centre and heart of all that we do.
We hope our website allows you to know more about our school community and our overall learning ethos and the way we work with our children and families. Please do spend some time looking through all aspects of 'school life' so you can appreciate the educational offer we extend to our children and young people. Much of this information is also contained within our SEND Information Report - 'School Local Offer'
I am fortunate to lead a talented educational team who work in open partnership with Health colleagues to meet the learning and holistic outcomes of all our young people. Our children are of course our greatest ambassadors and demonstrate our deeply held belief that we can all learn from each other, if we work with determination, passion, tolerance and genuine collaboration …‘Partners in learning’
Should you wish to know more about the life of The Cedar School please do arrange a visit to the school…you are assured of a warm welcome.
Keeping our children safe "The Cedar School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to the school to share and embrace this commitment"
The school has 3 trained Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs). If you are concerned in anyway about the safety or well being of any of our children/young people in the school, please do contact, Cesia Moran, Jan O'Dell or Jonathan Howells at any time. They will of course be happy to talk any of your concerns through with you and to then consider any 'next steps' accordingly. THANK YOU
The schools is a 'Rights and Respecting School' and has been awarded the UNICEF - Recognition of Achievement Award
Due to the change in weather, please can we still encourage you to support our 'Outside learning' curriculum by ensuring your child has appropriate clothing to allow us to get 'out and about' to explore our (Wonderfully Autumnal!) grounds and school site. THANK YOU!
