School Improvement Plan (SIP)

The Governing Body and School Leadership Team (SLT) alongside the wider, school team formulate a strategic plan to help detail the key priorities for school improvement initiatives to ensure better outcomes for our young people (and the community) at Cedar.

This plan is cascaded to all members of the school team and as such, is a shared, working document to ensure full 'ownership' and accountability for all.

We are at the beginning of Year 2 of our current 3 year School Improvement Plan (2018 to 2021) and each priority area is linked to a Key Governor and member of the SLT or wider staff team. As such we RAG rate (Red, Amber and Green) the priority areas routinely through monitoring meetings  and update reports in line with the Governor Work Plan schedule.

Our School Improvement Plan was drawn up after a  'change management group' (The PIC - 'Partners in Caring' Group) explored ways of how the school could better support our families through school based/low or neutral cost initiatives as well as concentrating on the curriculum/learning priorities for our YP.
