Latest News

What a fantastic SPORTS DAY we had (and the sun shone!) - Thank you all for your wonderful support

Have a wonderful half term too - We are 'back in business' for the Summer Term on Monday 3rd June

Congratulations go to Sarah Kitcher who now represents our families, along with Tor Price as your Parent/Carer Governor

Finally, please also be aware that the consultation period in relation to the Review around SEND provision in the City is approaching. There is a really useful summary report of the SEND findings in the City at www.southampton.gov.uk/localoffer . It is a really important issue and therefore, it would be massively appreciated if you could get involved with the consultation and put your views across, once the proposals are available and fully formed.

Therapy and Nursing Provision

At The Cedar School we have a dedicated multi-disciplinary health team consisting of a Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech and Language Therapy Team (SALT) and a School Nurse who is supported by trained Nursing Assistants.

The school runs a range of clinics within the school week to ensure children's attendance is not compromised by attending hospital appointments and parents and carers can be supported by familiar and trusted professionals.

The clinics are by appointment only.

Clinics Include:

  • Medicals
  • Hearing Tests
  • Screening Tests
  • Feeding Clinics
  • Orthopaedic Clinics
  • Wheelchair Clinics
  • Orthotic Clinics
  • Specialist equipment assessments.

Please note whilst wheelchair clinics are held in school on a regular basis, if a 'chair needs an immediate repair, parents must contact the wheelchair service directly.

To contact wheelchair services please telephone 0333 0038072 or email: hampshirewheelchairservice@millbrookhealthcare.co.uk.

All appointment information will be sent directly to parents, via the Medical team.
