Welcome to The Cedar School
We are proud of the learning community we have fostered at the school as we believe we put our young people at the centre and heart of all that we do.
We hope our website allows you to know more about our school community and our overall learning ethos and the way we work with our children and families. Please do spend some time looking through all aspects of 'school life' so you can appreciate the educational offer we extend to our children and young people. Much of this information is also contained within our SEND Information Report - 'School Local Offer'
I am fortunate to lead a talented educational team who work in open partnership with Health colleagues to meet the learning and holistic outcomes of all our young people. Our children are of course our greatest ambassadors and demonstrate our deeply held belief that we can all learn from each other, if we work with determination, passion, tolerance and genuine collaboration …‘Partners in learning’
Should you wish to know more about the life of The Cedar School please do arrange a visit to the school…you are assured of a warm welcome.
The school is a 'Rights and Respecting School and has been awarded the: 'UNICEF - Recognition of Achievement Award'
Half Term Holiday
20th February to 24th February
It's been a busy and very (Despite the England/Wales rugby result!) successful half term.
It was good to have HMI into school last Tuesday 7th February, as part of the wider Ofsted/CQC inspection of Southampton's SEND offer.
The inspector seemed very pleased with our core learning offer at the school. Once again our children/ young people were stars as were the staff team and our grateful thanks also go to our parents/carers for your support of the process too.
We will obviously let you know when we have the published report, which will probably be in 6-8 weeks time and we will put a copy onto the website.
Have a wonderful half term week! (The weather at long last feels like it is warming up a bit and perhaps even be 'Spring-like' for the week).
