Hello from Cedar Weekly Emails
Hello from Cedar
After another busy and action-packed term, we break up today for the Easter Holiday.
The children will return to school at the usual time on Tuesday 22nd April.
Well done to the children for everything which they have achieved this term. As always, it is a pleasure to work with your wonderful young people.
I want to start this week with information about a key event in the calendar for next half-term:
Cedar Sports Festival
This year, following feedback from families (thank you) and our own reflections, we have decided to make a few changes to our 'Sports Day' arrangements. This year events will be spread across three days and we are calling it our 'Cedar Sports Festival'.
On Tuesday 13th May, children in Red Class, Blue Class, Yellow Class and Green Class will be participating in some activities in the morning and in some races during the afternoon. Families of children in these classes are invited to join us from 1pm to enjoy the sporting fun!
On Wednesday 14th May, children in Diamond Class, Sapphire Class, Amethyst Class and Ruby Class will be participating in some activities in the morning and in some races during the afternoon. Families of children in these classes are invited to join us from 1pm to enjoy the sporting fun!
On Thursday 15th May, children in Purple Class and Emerald Class will be participating in some activities in the morning and in some races during the afternoon. Families of children in these classes are invited to join us from 1pm to enjoy the sporting fun!
Further details will come out nearer the time but we want to let you know the key arrangements at this stage. My thanks to Conor Lucey and James Phillips who will be leading the Cedar Sports Festival for the children.
Staying Safe Online
We see children using the internet which can be so positive. An important reminder though that, if you need any guidance on ensuring that your child is safe when online, then please see the parent/carer factsheets on our website found here:

Thank you to the Cedar Bikers!
Last Saturday over 90 bikes, trikes, trial bikes, scooters and even a bubble car arrived in the school car park as the Cedar Bikers drove into school to generously deliver Easter eggs for the children. Thanks to your amazing generosity - and to the collections made by the Bikers - a grand total of £831.65 was raised to go towards the Fundraising Committee's causes. My thanks to everyone for their support ... and especially to Karen Booth and Sue Carter who organised the whole event.
Wedding Bells!
Congratulations to Blue Class teacher Anna who is getting married tomorrow to her fiance Jack. We wish Anna and Jack every happiness together.
We hope that the children enjoy their Easter break and we will look forward to seeing everyone again at the usual time on Tuesday 22nd April.
Happy Easter!
Neil, Cesia and the whole Cedar Team
