Hello from Cedar Weekly Emails

Hello from Cedar

We are having a very hot and sunny week. While such weather is lovely for many people, we are aware that, for some of our children, the heat poses challenges. Please know that we are always happy to adapt things to help the children whenever we can. Please let your child's class team know if there is ever anything extra that we can do to get things right for your child.

It's Just One Week Until Cedar's Summer Fair - Saturday 28th June
Firstly, a big thank you for your support on Wednesday's non-uniform day. Your wonderful generosity has really helped us to prepare for the Summer Fair.

The Cedar School's Summer Fair will be held in just one week’s time on Saturday 28th June between 11am and 2pm.  Everyone is invited!

We look forward to seeing many of you there!

If the weather is not good on 28th, we have a back up plan and would hold the event inside the building ... so the fair will be going ahead whatever the weather!

Please note that the stalls at the Summer Fair will be cash only ... we are so sorry but we will not be able to accept cards.  We will try to have change available and our token exchange system will be available as before.

Outdoor Learning Afternoon
As you can see in the list of dates below, we will be holding an Outdoor Learning Afternoon on Wednesday 2nd July from 1.30pm – 2.30pm. Parents/Carers are warmly invited to join their children as they do some learning activities in the school grounds. The afternoon will be informal.  If you choose to take your child on when you leave at 2.30pm, that will be fine but please let your child's class staff team know first.  Thank you.

Class Transition for 2025-2026
Again, as you will see in the list of dates, next Friday (27th June) your child will bring home details of their class for 2025-2026 ahead of spending some time in their new class on 2nd and 7th July. I have written a letter giving more information about class transition which you will receive next Friday. We work very hard to ensure that transition to their new class is seamless and smooth for every child ... but please do let us know if we can support your child further. We really do want to get it right for everybody.
