Hello from Cedar Weekly Emails

Hello from Cedar

Next week will be the last week of this half-term in school  - we will break up on Thursday.

Over the last few weeks the children have settled brilliantly into their classes and routines and it has been lovely to see so much enthusiasm for learning across the school. Your children should be proud of everything that they achieve!  Well done everybody!

School Leadership From January 2026 - Message From Neil

On Wednesday our Chair of Governors (Sally Sampson) wrote to you to share the leadership arrangements in school from January 2026 following my early retirement in December.

I want to pass my congratulations to our brilliant Deputy Head - Cesia Moran - on being appointed as Acting Headteacher from 1st January. Cesia has such passion and vision for Cedar. I could not be more delighted that my colleague and friend -  Cesia - will lead Cedar in the New Year.

I am equally delighted that Katy Leonard and Becca Farwell will become Acting Co-Deputy Headteachers on 1st January.  Becca and Katy are such talented school leaders who have the drive and enthusiasm to guide Cedar to continue to be the very best school that it can be for your wonderful children.

Next half-term I will remain as Headteacher in what will be my last half-term in our very precious Cedar family.

Autumn Half-Term Holiday

As we said at the top of this email, the children will break up for the half-term holiday week next Thursday (23rd October).

After the holiday, children will return at the usual time on Monday 3rd November.

Take care and we hope that you enjoy your weekend,
Neil, Cesia and the whole Cedar Team
