Hello from Cedar Weekly Emails
Hello From Cedar
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in and around school with Christmas Trees up in shared areas and in classrooms ... and as our special events for this season continue !
This week's email is a bit longer than usual because it is full of details about our forthcoming events ...
School Photographer: Thursday 11th December
The school photographer will be in school next Thursday, taking photos of all of the children. When the photos are ready, sample pictures will be sent home with the children and you can then order photos online if you choose.
Christmas Extravaganza: Tuesday 16th December, 10am - 12pm
We look forward to welcoming families and carers to our Christmas Extravaganza. Please join us from 10am until 12pm. Those of you who have been before know what a lovely, casual and friendly event it is. We all spend the morning outside and the highlights are:
· Miller’s Ark live mini farm
· Brass band
· Free grotto and Santa
· Snow machine
· Festive crafts and games
· Café
· Christmas market
· Grand draw raffle
If you cannot attend on the day, but would like your child to visit the Christmas market, they may bring a small amount of money to spend. This is entirely optional. If you would like to help with anything from setting up a stall to making tea and coffee please contact karencollins@cedarschool.co.uk who will put you in touch with someone from the fundraising committee.
Goodbye Neil Afternoon Tea: Wednesday 17th December, 2pm - 3.30pm
Please join us between 2pm and 3.30pm to say a sad goodbye to our Headteacher Neil. Drinks and cakes will be served in the hall. You are all welcome.
Christmas Dinner: Thursday 18th December
Christmas dinner will be served in classrooms all around the school. Rooms will be decorated and we expect a lot of Christmas music. In the afternoon films, games and sensory activities will be available throughout the school.
Last Day Of Term / Christmas Jumper Day: Friday 19th December
Dust off your old Christmas jumper, or get creative and decorate your own. We will be celebrating the end of another hardworking term with silly jumpers and tops. If you have Christmas jumpers that you no longer need please send them into school before the 19th and we will redistribute them to other families. All the children will gather at the end of the day for a sing a long before we go home for the Christmas Holiday!
Children Return To School On Tuesday 6th January 2026
After the Christmas Holiday, the children will return to school at the usual time on Tuesday 6th January 2026.
Thank you - Cedar Bikers
Thank you to everyone who supported The Cedar Bikers' Ride-In last Saturday. Due to your generosity £417.01 was raised for our Fundraising projects. Thank you! The Cedar Bikers very generously brought some goodies to school for us all to enjoy over the festive period. Thank you from us all to the Cedar Bikers!
Thank you - Non-Uniform Day Donations
Thank you for your very kind donations today for the Christmas Extravaganza. We hope that the children have enjoyed their non-uniform day!
With our best wishes for the weekend; see you again on Monday!
